Terms and Conditions

• "Services" refers to temple experience programs provided by Hanul Journeys
• "Participant" means any person booking or joining our programs
• "Program" includes all temple stays, cultural activities, and related services
• "We/Us/Our" refers to Hanul Journeys
• "Website" means our online platform and all related digital properties

2.3 Pricing

Program prices include:

• All temple accommodations and activities
• Vegetarian meals as specified
• Ground transportation within Korea
• English-speaking guide services
• Pre-departure orientation materials

Not included: International flights, travel insurance, personal expenses, optional activities

3.1 Participant Cancellations

Cancellation charges based on notice period:

• More than 90 days: 10% administrative fee
• 60-90 days: 30% of program cost
• 30-60 days: 50% of program cost
• Less than 30 days: No refund

All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email.

3.2 Our Cancellation Rights

We reserve the right to cancel programs due to:

• Insufficient enrollment (minimum 6 participants)
• Circumstances beyond our control (natural disasters, political events)
• Temple unavailability or safety concerns

If we cancel, you will receive a full refund or option to transfer to another program.

• Travel Documents: Ensure valid passport and any required visas for Korea
• Insurance: Obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies and trip cancellation
• Health: Disclose any medical conditions or dietary requirements that might affect participation
• Preparation: Review orientation materials and temple etiquette guidelines provided
• Conduct: Respect temple rules, cultural norms, and instructions from guides and temple communities

Participants agree to follow temple protocols including:

• Respectful behavior in sacred spaces
• Appropriate modest clothing (guidelines provided)
• Participation in scheduled activities unless exempted
• Silence during meditation and rest periods
• Vegetarian diet (no exceptions at temple sites)
• No alcohol or recreational substances
• Photography restrictions in certain temple areas

Failure to respect temple protocols may result in removal from program without refund.

To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law:

• We act as organizers and coordinators; temple communities are independent entities
• We are not liable for delays, cancellations, or changes by third-party service providers
• Participants assume personal risk for physical activities including hiking and meditation
• Our liability is limited to the program fees paid
• We are not liable for loss of personal belongings
• Force majeure events (natural disasters, political unrest) exempt us from liability

Important: Travel insurance is strongly recommended to cover unforeseen circumstances.

• Programs involve physical activity (walking, hiking) at mountain locations
• Participants should be in reasonable physical condition
• Temple accommodations are simple (ondol floors, shared facilities)
• Medical facilities may be distant from remote temple locations
• Participants with health concerns should consult physicians before booking
• We maintain emergency procedures but cannot guarantee medical response times

All content on our website and in program materials remains our property:

• Text, images, logos, and design elements are protected by copyright
• Orientation materials are for personal use only
• No reproduction or commercial use without written permission
• User-generated content (reviews, testimonials) may be used in our marketing

We reserve the right to modify programs due to:

• Weather conditions affecting mountain access
• Temple schedule changes or special events
• Safety considerations
• Availability of guides or transportation

We will provide equivalent alternatives when possible. Significant changes will be communicated promptly.

• Initial Resolution: Complaints should be raised with us within 30 days
• Mediation: Unresolved disputes will be referred to mediation
• Jurisdiction: These terms are governed by Singapore law
• Venue: Any legal proceedings must be brought in Singapore courts

We may update these terms periodically. Changes will be posted on our website with a revised date. Bookings made under previous terms remain subject to those terms. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

• Entire Agreement: These terms constitute the full agreement between parties
• Severability: Invalid provisions do not affect remaining terms
• No Waiver: Failure to enforce any right does not waive that right
• Assignment: You may not transfer your booking without our consent
• Notices: Official communications will be sent to registered email addresses
